This week, students from Lower Elementary 1 took a field trip to the State Capitol We were lucky to have a special tour from Rep. Randy Jessup of Shoreview, who took the class to the House floor and recess chambers. Rep. Jessup was also pleased to meet the group of students who reached out to him earlier this Spring with a request to support recycling and fight pollution pertaining to a bill which was being discussed in the House at the time.
Students also had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the State Capitol, including some time atop the dome with the beautiful gold-plated Quadriga. Many thanks to our parent chaperones, and everyone in St. Paul who made this trip special.
