SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION FOR 2017
Oak Hill Montessori Summer Camp is a rich environment filled with exploration, creativity and of course, FUN! Our Summer Camp Staff is devoted to the well-being of ALL children and brings an un-paralleled degree of passion and enthusiasm each day.
All Oak Hill Montessori Campers experience the wonder of summer through themed weeks filled with age-appropriate activities and field trips. Staffed by employees of Oak Hill Montessori School, we maintain a low 1:8 adult to child ratio so that campers receive personalized attention for a healthy balance of hands-on activities, social interactions, physical endeavors and creative investigation.

We again will be providing childcare for our current students the week of June 12-16. Register online when registering for your summer camp weeks.

|Camp 1:||June 19-23:||Magical Mystery Tour|
Explore the world of fantasy, storytelling and mystery. Learn some tricks of the magic trade and meet a real magician. Solve a 'mystery of the day' with your fellow campers. See how you can come up with some big 'story telling' adventures and puzzles to solve. This will be a week full of surprises, secrets and FUN!
|Camp 2:||June 26-30:||It's a Big World Out There|
This is your week to discover the big and wondrous differences in our world. We'll discover other cultures with several visitors who will offer food, costumes and stories about growing up in their countries. We'll try our hand at making food and crafts from other places around the world and enjoy learning songs and stories from other lands. Come and explore far-away places!
|Camp 3:||July 5-7||Games to Amuse, Games to Confuse|
There are so many kinds of games to enjoy! You'll delight in a games of strategy, games of skill and just plain games of fun. What kind of games did children play in days gone by? We'll find out and try a few of those as well! Board games, card games, outdoor games, puzzling games. Come and join us for this week of GAMES, GAMES, GAMES GALORE!
|Camp 4:||July 10-14:||Science Explorers|
Who doesn't want to find out how this world works? Sarah Plumb, our Junior High science teacher extraordinaire, has helped to plan a explorative journey through our world through the eyes of science. Explore the science of paper airplanes. Build a machine that moves. Dig deep into swamp ecology. Race a car that you designed. Explore Newton's laws at a trampoline park. Who doesn't want to find out how this world works? You'll discern how things work and how things can be 'undone'. It will be an amazing week as we put our scientist caps to go about experimenting, creating and discovering amazing things about our amazing world. Don't miss this one!
|Camp 5:||July 17-21||Everyone's a Sportsman|
You'll be moving during this week of indoor and outdoor sports. Find yourself in motion, running, jumping, biking but always on the move. We'll get into the spirit with team games, excursions and fun competitions. Maybe you'll discover sports you've never met before. Get that body ON THE MOVE!
|Camp 6:||July 24-28:||Clever YOU!|
Let your imagination soar, creating art that is unique to you! It can be messy but it's always FUN. You'll experience many mediums, painting, drawing, sculpture and more. Parents and quests are invited to view your own unique art on Friday of this week. Explore the world of creative expression through this fun and imaginative week!
|Camp 7:||July 31-Aug 4:||Outdoor Fun in the Sun|
Combine a watery world with a camper's paradise and it equals serious outdoor fun. As the summer gets hotter you'll be cool in the pool or at the beach (age appropriate). Lots about water animals and sea creatures. Campfires and special camp food are part of our outdoor adventure week.
|Camp 8:||August 7-11:||Culinary Delights|
Where does our food come from? You'll start from the beginning by putting on your gardening gloves and digging in the dirt, planting and harvesting items from the school's gardens. We'll do a little cooking and learn more about good eating. There will be lots more fun, foodie adventures during this week so don't miss the fun and food!
|Camp 9:||August 14-18:||All the World's a Stage|
This popular week is all about performance capped by a show of the amazing talents of our campers. We'll learn what it takes to put together a performance, including writing, costuming, set design, etc. This is teamwork and everyone's a star! Don't miss the change to bring out your hidden talents at the Summer Performance on Friday when friends and family are invited to attend!
