TODDLER 1 Kristen Strever, Teacher [AMI Assistants to Infancy and Primary Certifications]
Kristen Strever received her AMI Assistants to Infancy diploma in 2003 from the Montessori Institute in Denver, Colorado. Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from St. Cloud State University, St. Cloud Minnesota. Helayna has her Master of Arts Degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago, Illinois and a Bachelor of Arts Degree Double Major in Psychology and Biology from The College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, Minnesota.
Helayna has years of experience as a Primary Counselor/ Trainer and Independent Living Skills Coach. She understands the physiology of the brain, can identify developmental challenges due to environment or biological makeup. Her ability to be patient, open minded and a good listener comes in handy not only when working with infants but for new parents where this may be their first separation from their children. Helayna recently finished her AMI Assistant to Infancy certification and graduated from Montessori Center of Colorado.
Helayna is originally from Duluth, MN and currently lives in Minneapolis with her husband, Drew. She enjoys attending Gopher sporting events, exploring new restaurants, biking, and spending time with her many nieces and nephews.Vanessa Paakkonen, Toddler Support Assistant
Nicole Porter, Teacher [AMI Assistants to Infancy and Primary Certifications]
Nicole received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary
education from the University of Wisconsin Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin. She
has her AMI Assistants to Infancy diploma form the Montessori Center of
Minnesota. Nicole and her husband have a child, Levi, in Oak Hill Montessori’s Toddler Community.
